Prada Menswear S/S 2024 Milan

Finally something good. I love the proportions. I'm also into the fisherman/butcher look with the big coats and pocketed vests. That little humorous touch is something that has been missing from Prada. It's also lighter, and it's not taking itself so seriously. The little fur vests feels like 00's Prada in the best possible way. I don't know, I really like it. It's close to my own personal style. While it may not be the most original, it's still better than the past few seasons.

I understand the repetitive in a sense of uniform and the state of being united.
It use to be fun, quirky and interesting, even the clothes are repetitive.
But now, it seems long and tiring...like they have 10 shirts (same silhouette with similar graphical technique) with the smiliar shorts...
You can put them in your store or online shop and celebrities.

Some of the silhouettes make them look like cartoons. I like some of the shirts and jackets tho

I enjoy the H.R. Giger-inspired prints (could they possibly be a twisted nod to the prints from the S/S 2014 menswear collection?) and the fringe on the shirt gave it a cool effect - though I can't stand the elongated sleeves. The leather jackets are also great. Only issue is in just a few weeks/months time, I'll be seeing every insufferable influencer and celebrity wearing it. Overall, the collection is not too intriguing.

Side note: I just realized that Prada has not presented a womenswear resort show/selection since Raf took over (before, there was either a standalone show or the womenswear look was integrated along the menswear). Does Prada even release a resort collection anymore? Or is those tacky beach collections (with loads of logos) that they do now.

They still produce pre-collections. The Prada store near where I live has a biannual cycle in in terms of what is displayed and sold.

At the beginning of the season, they release an edit of the runway collections (Spring and Fall) along with the appropriate bags, shoes, etc.

2 to 3 months down the line, they release the transitional pre-collections (Pre-Fall and Resort) to act as a more approachable version of previous runway collections.

Towards the end of the season, they release holiday capsules (Swimwear and Evening Dress) that generally seem to stay all year.

Personally, I'd rather have Prada copy the Louis Vuitton/Gucci model of holding a destination show for Resort in May and a lookbook for Pre-Fall alongside the Fall Menswear Shows. Both can be co-ed for efficiency.

They still have pre-collections and resort wear but I think they're strictly relying on lookbooks. From what I see, the most popular items in regards to RTW are clothes not from the runway (silk and knitwear specifically).

The set and the slime were great! The clothes, casting, hair — pretty bad, and REALLY dated.
