Prada S/S 07 Milan

The whole collection isnt so bad but I do believe that she could have done better.

i adore the short, satin tunics at the beginning (the 1st and 2nd looks i think)..and some of the satin shorts. gorgeous.

the fringe, however, i could do without.

She's three steps ahead. Those strappy sandal heels have been a total faux pas for the past few years, but leave it to her to breathe new life into them before the fashionable public is even ready for them again.

itthink thsi collection is sorta fantastic and awful at once--she touched on some trends i saw coming--liek the shoes and headwraps- and the mixing of colors, samurai inspired belting... but the crotch shots undermine the integrity of the entire collection, along with the overabundance of androgeny.. some of the pieces payed no attention to flattering a woman's body--such as even Miuccia.. woudl she be caught dead in half the stuff?

also i like that this is an obvious progression from last spring's prada collection. once she metnioned that she uses the miumiu line as a tester--some of the same trends pushed here wer seen in that line last spring--especially teh african adn rasta influences, also the use of color.

it really does look more like a miu miu collection. it just needed to be upped to one more level of refinement and it would have been perfect...

Suvi/supreme opened the show

"It had to happen. A pristine new girl had to fly under the radar in NY only to surface in the most coveted slot in the most coveted show in Milan."

"After her opening position and four turns on the Prada S/S 07 catwalk, the modeling world is buzzing about this fresh faced newcomer named Suvi. And that indicates a new editorial queen has emerged on the market. We can’t wait to see the editorials in question"

the shoes are awful

though i have to admit that the colors do look quite nice
reminds me of proenza schouler's collection

maybe im behind and not on her pace...but i dont see my self liking it even a few years later..this for me is just not do-able

wow, this is SOME debate...
i don't think it's ugly, i don't think it's revolutionary (AT ALL)

to put it bluntly, they're just a bunch of satin tops and shorts...anyone could have done them. ^_^

Pastry pretty much said exactly what I was going to say:lol:

wierd clothes

like 1940's washer women take LSD or something

Much prefered the winter one B)

I love the way Elise Crombez describes the Prada woman, "young and classy but also old and wise." That's the perfect way to describe it. (she says this on the style.com video, by the way)
