mix everything

voilà
they learned from Vaccarello lol

While this is probably my second favorite collection from the tandem since the military/dufflecoat collection, I still want RAF out.

I loved the obvious Prada-ism, the 1950’s silhouettes, the military, the color palette.
I think the shoes were fantastic. For the bags…Go to Fendi.

But as usual with Prada, it’s all about tricks and gimmicks that only highlights the lack of newness. And tbh, I don’t mind sometimes seeing a comforting collection with familiar things placed in a new context. Just be upfront about it.
The bras upside down, the déshabillés looks, the dresses worn over a pile of stuff…All unnecessary.

Vaccarello did the jumpsuits better!

I love the corolle black t-shirt dress with the short sleeves and padded shoulders. It will probably cost 5800€ and I’m not spending that on Prada. lol

Forever chic Miuccia.

Probably my favourite PradaRaf collection so far....
Same and I can't stand them, not separately and certainly not as a duo lol. I just know these two opening looks are all Raf and that he was all 🗣️🗣️ about why these Mario and Luigi numbers would make a statement about the dialogue between the pOwEr oF dYnAmIcS aNd PeRfOrMaTiVe CrAfT.

Anyway, secretary Miu Miu/Prada is my guilty pleasure, I have always loved her midi full skirt + shirt silhouettes with pops of color (Prada Spring 2001.. ❣️) so this is great to me.. much better than the silly gimmicks she carried out on her own from 2010 to like 2020 or until Raf came along and made it even worse. She's at her best when she does playful corporate and is at peace with this being a luxury brand and not some obscure avant-garde tiny label that exists to disrupt the system.

What is “radical”, what is “innovative”, what is “ugly-chic” about Prada in 2025?

Miuccia — a woman with a PhD in political science and a funny past as a self-proclaimed coMmuNisT, ironically finds herself at the helm of one of the most detestable conglomerates, notorious for poor product quality and the most absurd pricing among today’s industry leading houses.

People usually complain about the pompous sculptures Rei Kawakubo keeps sending down the runway season after season, but at least Rei remains restless, legendary, and still trying to prove something. I don’t see that in Miuccia.

Raf, on the other hand, was a ridiculous appointment — but if that’s what Miuccia wanted, it says plenty about her. Honestly, they DESERVE each other!

are the ongoing wars the inspiration? predicting world war 2 utilitarian wears as the future of fashion.

i miss graphic prada. the flowers collection in 2013, the race car collection or the 2011 stripes one.
I wonder if they still have people developing prints anymore.
A lot of Prada collections looks like they are designed by an anonymous design team tbh.

Marc Jacobs would be so great at RAF’s place. He knows and understand the Prada woman and in reality, being around women who wears your clothes or who subscribe to your aesthetic change something (even though Marc has decided that his brand will be a design project).

Who are the women in RAF’s circle?

Oh wow! There is so much to hate. I don’t even know where to start.
- those tank top skirts that hang from the body are the most aggressively ugly garment proposition I’ve ever seen. It’s almost an accomplishment on itself.
- those diaper hotpants that Raf (you know it’s him) pushes on us season after season on men and women is just offensive. Who wants to look like like this?
- most of the garments, especially the opening numbers made the models look like rugby players.
- those color combos are played out.
- suddenly Dior skirts?

Who is buying this? I don’t get it? I’m not buying Prada anymore and the people I know who where die hard Prada fans (lots of people in the art world) are not buying it anymore either. I also find their accessories lackluster. What is pushing their numbers? Does someone know?
Those diaper hotpants are likely miuccia as they were also prominent for Miu Miu SS2025.
