Prada stockings

^ I believe there is the runway version and the production version. I think I have the same ones as you, mine are thin and ribbed.

sofia, thanks for the lovley pic!

Do yours look anything like these? I know the pic is not very good but maybe you get the idea. Did you wear yours yet? I'd love to see some pics/oufits for inspiration.

Yeah, Susie Bubble, I know they don't look like yours. They are def. Prada and a pair from the Runway only in a darker color. I compared them and the seller provided pics where I could see it myself. I think they made different styles. They are not as short as in the pic. I can pull them up over my knees easily but they are not slouchy then.

^It must be a different kind of production from Prada because the box isn't the same either. Mine are still kind of slouchy if you pull them up over the knees because they're miles long. Maybe they made a shorter version for easier wearing?

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Hm, I actually wanted the other longer ones to get that slouchy look. Maybe I will sell those and start the search for the other ones again (meaning to call every Prada store but I guess they are sold out everywhere by now).

i'm wondering if they will come into production since they have been so popular.. i wanna pair!

hi, i found this forum because i'm dying for these prada stockings! the san francisco store says they've run out of the ribbed ones and from the sound of things, it doesn't seem like they'll have any more of those in stock, ever. however, they did say they'd get the non-ribbed ones in soon and i was wondering if anyone had a pair of those that they'd like to post up pics? the image of the milan window looked non-ribbed -- are they just as sheer as you say the ribbed ones are? any info would be great. thanks :)

oh, nevermind, i just realized that some of the pics on the first and second pages of this post were the non-ribbed version. woops!

thanks :) apparently the stockings are $125! considered it might be too rich for my blood but i'll just sign up on the waitlist anyway...

I just hit the Prada store on B'way, closed my eyes when they charged my credit card $125 for the stockings but I'm so glad that I finally have the right ones now. Unfortunately they only had the non-ribbed ones. They are not getting them anymore (although a couple of the models in the store had them on). I think the plain ones are just as nice though.

I should have never read this. now I am debating going down there after work...I know I shouldnt do it but...

I can imagine how you feel because it was the same with me. I was standing in front of the Prada store debating if I should enter at all (because I knew if they had them I would have to buy them). But you won't regret it, I'm sure. When the SA showed me the stockings and they felt so good I knew I had to buy them. Let me know if you decide to buy them.

Thanks to this thread, I officially joined the prada stocking cult. I just got a pair of the non ribbed ones... Velony is right, they don't have ribbed ones any more.

They are amazingly long... I don't know how and where to wear them to yet (except maybe in the bedroom). Maybe i will try to wear them with the rusty color romper I have, and maybe some minidresses...

Any one can share their outfit ideas? I love how susie wore hers with :flower: - prada ads are great but not really realistic for me.

I like them, but honestly wouldn't it be way easier/way cheaper to just go to a department store?! Large menswear socks or something.... Although I admit if I had the extra money, I'd go for the Prada ones. They would look amazingly cool with a mini sundress type deal like sanura mentioned! Not sure how else you'd wear them though?

Shugga~ I think you have great ideas, there are many creative ways to achieve the look, such as cutting up regular nylon stockings as susie has suggested. I think with some Japanese style legwarmers can also pull off the same slouchy look as well.:flower:

I'm really having a hard time finding what shoes to wear with these... what do you girls wear them with?
