Prices on designer bags in Japan

My boyfriend is going to Japan...
How is the prices on designer bags?
I think I want a chanel now...

It's more expensive in Japan. I never buy high-brand items in Japan.

^^ Japanese ppl go to Europe to shop.. never buy from Japan.. its the most expensive place for premier designers items

Yes! It is much more expensive in Japan. Unless you wanna buy a Japanese design one. Such as Y-3/comme des garcons.
Tsumori Chisato are good too. Their products are very girly.
Issey Miyake is a great artist as well. His bags are interesting

I saw many Japs buying their Guccis and Chanels in KL and when I asked them, they say the bags are much cheaper in KL compared to Tokyo.

That is true, foreign brands in Japan are significantly marked up so it is best not to buy from Japan unless it is something that you want so very badly.
But, on the other hands, being in Japan is a good time to splurge on all Japanese brands and products

I had to mention, "Japs" is not a really good word to indicate Japanese people, it's somewhat offensive word to use.

I agree with the rest here. It's just not worth it to buy designers' goods from Japan.
