Princess Marie of Denmark

I really don't like her style. But I think she will not be so "moldable" like Mary. I bet she's very certain about what she likes.

I think that's a good thing - she'll be more herself then than Mary is now. Also Marie's original style is a lot better than Mary's was - I don't think she needs as much "molding".

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #2, 2008.
Joachim og Marie fyrede den af - Joachim and Marie fired it off.
Written by Ulrik Ulriksen, who spend New Years Eve outside a villa in Gentofte, for the benefit of his faithful readers, namely us.

Joachim and our Marie started the New Year celebrations with a lunch with some invited friends at restaurant Celeste in Nyhavn, a few minutes walk from Amalienborg.
The couple strolled back to Amalienborg hand in hand, receiving many good wishes by passers by.

In the evening they went to the home of Benedicte and Michael Darsberg in Gentofte. They arrived just in time for the Queen's New Year address. After having said happy New Year to our reporter. Joachim in Danish, Marie in English. (*) The other friends present were Henriette and Peter Steenstrup and Oscar Siesbye. Britt Siesbye, who seems to be Marie's best friend in DK had to stay home with their son.
The smaller fireworks were lit a couple of hour before midnight for the benefit of the children present.
But the heavy fireworks, for the boys, were lit at midnight!
Our reporter must have had a chat with M&F when they left the party, because we are informed that Joachim opened the oysters and that they danced disco in the basement of the villa. (Not the oysters of course)!

I don't think Marie is specially pretty, and her style so far bas been boring, but she seems to have a nice & fun personality that always shows in her face. I cannot help but like her for it. She also seems comfortable with herself, and I have to admire that. I do not believe I would be comfortable with myself if in her shoes. Thank you for the thread on her. I find her very interesting and look forward to learn more about her.

Thank you, alicia. It is so striking how different the styles of Joachim's first wife & now Marie. Marie is almost funky with her style. Her pashmina wrap is beautiful, and what I can see of the black dress is nice, but it all clashes against those weird earrings. :p Contrasted against Alexandra's prim-and-properness, and wow! Night and day, those two!

Kate Middleton must be so jealous (well, of the engagement, not the ring) :p

Thanks, Alicia! That is such a funny video. I had no idea Felix was such a wild child. :p He could not stand still for a moment, haha. But as for Marie, I like her the more I see her. She is a very normal person, not glamorous by any means, but she does seem very sincere and pleasant in her responses, if a bit uncomfortable with the attention. It seems clear that she is not at ease with the press, but maybe she will be more graceful about it in good time. B)
