Proenza Schouler Handbags - the PS1 et al

^^Speaking of Jesus just talked to him he said damn all the collection is fab and that I need em all lol
And I approve

^Next time you talk to him please be a doll and tell him to put some more $$$$$ on my credit card so I can buy every python thing in this collection

the wallets are $250 for leather...i didn't see any python ones, but they could be coming out later...

^ $250 is very reasonable. I'm surprised they do not cost more, actually. Thanks for the info, kim. :flower:

Thanks Kim :flower: If the leather ones are $250, how much would you assume the python ones could cost? $500?

^The wallet only have one compartment. I have one. I wouldn't pay 250$ for one. Maybe 100$. But no more than that.

I see. But compared to LV canvas wallets it's still a fair price (that's how far luxury marketing has distorted my views lol)

250 USD would indeed be a good price. not too much not too little:)

it seems reasonable compared to some pieces by balenciaga, like the coin purse retails for $295 and is much smaller and only has one compartment...
i took a pic of the ones barneys ny had behind glass...the colors are cream, chocolate brown and purple...

kimair: did you see whether Barneys NY had the medium sized (smooth leather) PS1 in smoke or midnight?

one year review

It's been almost about a year since I bought my PS1 and I thought I'd share a review on it. My usage was medium-heavy. I wore it for weeks at a time and I wasn't extremely careful with it (not putting it on the floor, those kind of things).

I am disappointed with how it's held up over the past year. The leather has stretched out a bit too much and is now curly. The hardware is chipped and misaligned. The inside of the bag's lining is ripped. I know this happened shortly after I got the bag (I think I posted the concern in this thread earlier). I think in general the bag is a gorgeous bag, but the leather needs to be more stiff to hold the boxy shape. Since I've had the bag for so long, I doubt Proenza Schouler would do anything about it, but the price for this bag is a little overwhelming when some cheaper bags would hold up a lot better than this after a year. I personally don't mind the chipping on the hardware, but the misalignment, saggy leather, and ripped lining are what make me hesitant to buy any other PS1 for a while.

Overall - I do not think the price was worth it. I feel like the authentic would last just as long as a knock off bag.

Anyways, here are some photos so you can see what I'm talking about:

Edit: I don't know if this would be worth sending over the Proenza Schouler, but I wish there was something I could do about the sagginess and the ripped lining :(

^^^Thanks for posting this! I wonder if the newer bags are made the same way or if they have any improvements...
