Proenza Schouler Handbags - the PS1 et al

Thanks for this report! I was thinking about replacing my 4 year old Balenciaga City bag (it's aging...and close to falling apart, after 4 years of heavy use), but now I decide against a PS1. I used my City to death, but the lining is not damaged at all. The hardware is fine too. To me, a $2k bag with this kind of quality is just unacceptable. I might just get another Balenciaga bag. I'll definitely stay away from the PS brand. Thank you!
It's been almost about a year since I bought my PS1 and I thought I'd share a review on it. My usage was medium-heavy. I wore it for weeks at a time and I wasn't extremely careful with it (not putting it on the floor, those kind of things).
I am disappointed with how it's held up over the past year. The leather has stretched out a bit too much and is now curly. The hardware is chipped and misaligned. The inside of the bag's lining is ripped. I know this happened shortly after I got the bag (I think I posted the concern in this thread earlier). I think in general the bag is a gorgeous bag, but the leather needs to be more stiff to hold the boxy shape. Since I've had the bag for so long, I doubt Proenza Schouler would do anything about it, but the price for this bag is a little overwhelming when some cheaper bags would hold up a lot better than this after a year. I personally don't mind the chipping on the hardware, but the misalignment, saggy leather, and ripped lining are what make me hesitant to buy any other PS1 for a while.
Overall - I do not think the price was worth it. I feel like the authentic would last just as long as a knock off bag.

Edit: I don't know if this would be worth sending over the Proenza Schouler, but I wish there was something I could do about the sagginess and the ripped lining

exactly... I saw you can register your billing address worldwide, but shipping only US...
@caroulemapoule: how big is the wallet? does it have a snap closure?

I'm not sure what a snap closure is? it closes with a button

No, I personally don't think so. It's more like a wallet. But I think it lacks a zip pocket for coins. I wouldn't personally buy one, but I use mine antway, it was a present from Proenza Schouler.
