i agree; this might be creatively the best resort collection but it is really heavy. Those fabrics don't look like they would be the most comfortable during a hot humid summer or spring.
how is it summer....?
this stuff will land in stores around christmas time...
and then go into early spring...
these collections are meant to be transition collections btw fall and spring...
before the consumer is really ready for spring...
i think it's gorgeous and these guys have certainly boken away from that one hit wonder bustier...
but i have to say i feel a little like i am looking at a YSL collection...
you can tell with every collection where their ideas are coming from...it's very very obvious....
i think they need to focus on what THEY really want to say with their collections and develop more of their own language in a more consistent way...
i see the bustier/bralettes and the pencil skirts...but that is just one note...
they need to write the rest of the score...
This collection made me think of Zac Posen actually. Not his Resort collection but just Zac Posen in general. I like it but I do agree that the fabrics look a little heavy. It makes me think safari though.
I really like the proportions of that last, 1920ies-inspired dress. However, I don't really see their 'stamp on this, other than some of the inevitable bra-tops and bustiers.
I really dont like this collection so much, but im a fan of optimistic or exciting clothes and this is just too heavy and dull for me but I do really like that last dress, its very pretty, I could see it on Kirsten Dunst!
