I was surprised by my reaction to this collection - a positive one! PS, at least to me, seems to have gone kind of wayward the past few seasons. Let's hope they can use this small collection to get back to designing some beautiful clothes.

so when are resort and cruisse collections released. In the summer or between summer and fall.

I really like the proportions of that last, 1920ies-inspired dress. However, I don't really see their 'stamp on this, other than some of the inevitable bra-tops and bustiers.

i think it's becasue overall, the looks come off as a bit bland.
otherwise, besides the bustier/pencil skirt combo i could spot a few of their favourite silhouettes: cropped jacket with loose body, sequined tank, boyfriend sweater, tight sheath over shirt, and those funky hats they've taken a liking to recently....

back on the bland topic though, i think with the accessories and all, they're under pressure to keep shipping 10 months of the year to keep the cash flowing. thus, the stuff's been getting pretty commecial. i remember how even a couple of seasons back, their showroom clothes i'd see in stores were more forward.

I don't know about yours, but my grandma would never be caught anywhere wearing a bra-top and bustiers. Also, this collection isn't supposed to be summer, which was already stated here. It's more of a spring collection, if anything.

I for one enjoy the majority of the pieces, and I noticed a variety of inspirations. I definitely see the YSL in the clothing, though I also saw a strong hint of Marni (in this outfit especially).

but i have to say i feel a little like i am looking at a YSL collection...
you can tell with every collection where their ideas are coming from...it's very very obvious....

And I feel like I'm looking at a Re-born Prada ss 04 collection "in a way"

but this collection has good pieces
