okay, well i think this is the right thread. sorry to have to dig it up, but i just bought a pair of frye boots. Now all the other frye boots i own have the leather bottom with a rubber base for traction. now these new ones were mail order so i didn't realize the bottoms were like they are until i took them out of the box. The bottoms are done in leather and are buffed smooth. they're gorgeous to look at but are very slippery....what can i put on them so they done slip so much? i know i had a pair of prada boots, and they were the same when i bought them. We had to scratch them up a bit with a key (like runway shoes) so they weren't so slippery..can anyone offer up a suggestion?
