I always have a parting on the top of my head (even when I comb it out, tie my hair back and cover it with hairspray it returns within half an hour) and I find that although the rest of my skin doesn't go red so easily, that section of my scalp often gets burnt quickly. A few days after the burning I get enormous clumps of dead skin coming off my scalp. It's revolting, embarrassing and a big hassle. Now, I can protect my head with a scarf/hat, but I don't want to be wearing one every single day for the entire summer! Obviously it is impossible for me to put sunscreen over the skin exposed in the parting because it would make my hair extremely greasy and make me look like a tramp. Is there anything else I can do?
