in a recent post to her ny times blog 'on the runway', cathy horyn said that pumps are
— the style of the season —
...

if cathy says it...then it must be true...

Pumps are cute, they're appropriate for almost any occasion. I also really like a thicker heel, like the Margiela ones you posted. To me it makes them a little less explicit, if that makes sense.

But I have to agree that I love wedges, and I can actually walk around in them.

I think wedges are prettier than pumps, but I feel more comfortable wearing pumps. I always think I'll sprain my ankle while wearing wedges

i think pumps are kind of always in but i'm ready for them to have a revival at the forefront of fashion...

i feel like we've been getting a bit too clunky

i have lots of great pumps that i would love to pull out of my closet and get more use out of

Pumps are always fabulous. When I wear high heels I can feel "dressed up" whatever I'm wearing...better posture too and an extra few inches never hurts. Those brown ones (top pic), I could slip them on right now

Id be interested im how these would be styled in an every day or dressy kinda way i always thort that this style of shoe was a work wear/office wear/uniform kinda shoe :/

High pumps are much more visually appealing than wedges. Since I am a guy, I don't know the difference as far as comfort goes, but gimme some black YSL pumps over a wedge anyday.

it's a question of balancing the silhouette...

it seems like the entire silhouette is getting narrower as a trend...
so the shoes are as well...

no more chunky shoes...
say good bye to platforms!...
:innocent:...
