Lately I've been wanting a little bit of a push up there... Starlets like Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Simpson have been my inspiration, if you will. I'm not talking tacky... but just a little something to show they're there... since I can't afford beautiful corsets from Dolce & Gabanna.

Does anybody know of any fantastic push-up bras? I have basically just one, it's a gel one from Victoria's Secret with double straps. It does the trick, but doesn't raise them like I had hoped... I'm not even looking to make my breasts look bigger... but rather.. just higher... sounds scary, doesn't it? I just want that bombshell look once a month when I get dressed up for the lounges.

Agent Provacateur. I was originally slightly too big from this gorgeous demicup bra I had from them so i sort of 'spilled out' so to speak and I never wore it. Now i'm slightly smaller and fit into it better and it's exactly what you want because it basically makes your chest sit higher. It's gorgeous. I can't remember if I got it or the other one on sale. I paid about £70 for it fullprice or else got it for £40 on sale. And it's not padded. Just cut really well.

^ You're fantastic, Meg. I'd give you karma, but I need to spread it around...

haha no probs Erin. I've been there!

edit: Also it's satin so clothes go over it really well. I hate lace bra's and ones that have seeming and stuff all over them because if you wear a tight/close fitting shirt you can see all that through the shirt. This does not have that.

I'm bumping this thread. Does nobody wear push-up bras here? ;)

i don't wear them because they always seem to have padding that causes a whole bunch of spillage or whatever you want to call it.. they look great when i'm wearing just the bra but once i throw a shirt on over it it's not pretty... :innocent:

i was at victoria's secret trying on a whole bunch of bras a couple weeks ago so i guess this fact was brought up for me again..

it could be that my boobs just aren't meant for victoria's secret bras (i do have some that fit really well but they tend to be the full coverage versions aka practical but not sexy) and if i wear a lower cut top the cups may even peak out--DEFINITELY not cute

and i'm a 34-C so it's not like I'm some crazy bra size...

anyway, a nice push-up or demi-cup with no padding that doesn't look like it's trying to put a dent in my boob would be a great find

^ I know VS has some non-padded push-ups... and it's funny that you mention the sizing. The only bras that FEEL good and seem like they fit perfectly are their Full Coverage ones.

^^exactly... i had actually bought a certain bra in a 34-C but then i took it home and it just didn't seem to fit right... seemed too narrow so that there was side spillage of sorts..

i went back and tried the same bra in a 36-C to see if that would fix the issue but the weird thing about it was that it seemed like it was the CUP size that got bigger.. i had my mother come take a look so i would know i wasn't hallucinating and it definitely looked like a D-cup, meaning way too big/overwhelming for my boobs

i think victoria's secret just might not be for me when it comes to anything that's not full coverage.. which is unfortunate because they have so many pretty bras...

The I-tec (i'm pretty sure that's the name) from victorias secret/la senza is wonderful! the most comfortable thing i've ever worn and it gives just enough lift without losing shape.

What about Le Mystere Nikita? It seems to push everything into the right spot. I got mine from Saks.

I found a good one at Target for under $15-I'm lucky in that there I can find a push-up bra that fits well. I'm the kind of person who a lot of people say wouldn't need one-I'm a 36D-but I like everything to look good and it's fairly comfortable. Only problem is that I spill out a little bit sometimes so I have to adjust, but a push-up bra can be a girl's best friend.

I always use the VS Very Sexy Bra, but I'm sure there are better ones out there

Are you talking about the one with the double straps? I LOVE these. I have a couple.

And if anybody is interested... ^_^

Some recommended push-up bras...

1. Panache: Atlantis Gel Push-Up Bra
For extra boost, Michelle suggests bending over like you're touching your toes. "Let your breasts fall into the bra. Once you pull the straps up, scoop your breasts from back to front to fit into the cups."
2. Calvin Klein: Perfectly Fit Push-up Bra
3. Fashion Forms Nu Bra Divine Body Bra
In a recent poll Michelle conducted on bras, one reader raved, "This is the most incredible bra... Adds about a cup size, has no straps, and feels and looks like your natural breasts."
4. Freya Tizzy Plunge Bra

totally agreed re: agent provocateur. and this is kinda cliche but i own a fantastic push-up one from VS. it was literally in the store for like a week a couple of yrs ago as part of the pink line - not padded or anything i hate padding too. i wish i had gotten more.

Is anyone here actually capable of making their breasts look as va-va-voom as the girls in the Victoria’s Secret ads? I know it’s probably more than likely there’s some digital enhancing involved but in real life I see normal people with the most voluptuous looking chests and I envy them :( I’m not a small chested person (34B), but for some reason, no matter how much padding there is inside the cup, I never get the lift I would like to get.

i've always wondered how VS did it too...
if you're in NY or anywhere near it, you must visit town shop ( i think that's what it's called, haven't been there for awhile) BUT they have the best bra-servicing ever. the bras aren't that pricey either, not as pricey as agent provocateur at least
