Just finished watching the premiere of this show, and I must say the critics are right -- it's wonderful! Love the fairytale stylistics, the dark humor, the intriguing characters...everything!

Some points of the episode moved a bit too quickly (Especially dialogue-wise), but all in all I know I'm definitely tuning in next week ^_^

I have 20 minutes left of the show, but I find it quite magical as well!
It is just like a fairytale, and the narrator makes me feel all warm inside with his story-tellin' kind of voice!
It's put together quite well with a great, original, and inventive story line.

I'm in love with this show!
(The daisy scene where the dog gets hit is like a dream!)

Great photos from nymag.com
(It's so great to Chi McBride working so much now.)

^I know! I used to love him on Boston Public  And I think Lee Pace is absolutely perfect for the lead role...he has a great sense of kindness and innocence to him.

Kindness! That's the perfect word. He's so gentle and quite a character.

The Pie Hole is creative and everything about it is like "Pleasantville"!
It's like a Dr. Seuss book come true in a classy, less tacky, kind of way.

Thank you, Faith! SUBSCRIBED!

Pleasantville and Dr. Seuss (!), with a pinch of Tim Burton for sure!

The redundancy of the all the names really had me laughing, too

I really wish they could kiss. (They because I haven't memorized names yet.)

Ned and Chuck

When they used the monkeys to kiss I melted a little inside

I really hope someone else on the forum watched this  Otherwise it might just be us two gushing week after week

I'll be more than gushing. My brother refuses to watch it with me anymore because every other second I said either, "Aw!" or "How sweet!"

Yes, the monkeys kissing was the best scene :crush:

I like the "rules" of his powers where if he doesn't touch them again, someone else has to die.

But I love the conflict he faces: he loves her but can't touch her. Like when they were "holding hands" and touching the wall in the same place at night.

Yes, it's so beautifully tragic!

I'm sure there'll be a twist somewhere so they can finally not have such a barrier between them...but they were pretty risky themselves  Ned needs to be far more careful with her (Sitting almost next to each other on a bench is a no-no)!

oh.... i missed this. :( it looks so intriguing, i'll have to remind myself to watch when it's on next.

I really would have loved to see Zooey D. as the lead girl. "Chuck" is just as good, but I think Zooey was born to play that role.

I never see the appeal in Zooey, to be honest... :ninja: I think that her sister, Emily is a far better actress.

I saw the pilot though and it was really interesting. Humorous, but a little dark as well. It works. ^_^

A friend of mine downloaded this show before it came out and force me to watch it.LOL. I didn't know what to expect but I ended up really liking it. Can't wait for more episodes!

Ahhh I'm glad that I checked before I made a new thread!!

The directing and cinematography were breathtakingly beautiful on the pilot. Bryan Fuller has produced and written for some amazing TV shows (Dead Like Me, Heroes) and Pushing Daisies is no exception! :crush:

I can't wait to see what happens next, especially between Ned and Chuck!

^^EDIT:oMG i LOVEDDDDDDDDD Dead Like Me,miss it so much. :(

OK i did not see this, but wow just from the clips i can tell this is my kind of show. :buzz:

Thanks for the thread i will watch it from now on. :bounce:

I watched the repeat last night and I love it. Ned is so charming! And I think this might be the first time I don't find the lead actors love interest annoying, she's really cute.

i watched the first episode!! i actually really like this show. Ned and Chuck
