I recently bought a pair of Michael Kors winter boots. I went for a waterproof pair since I'm in a city where the snow gets very slushy. I only had them a month when they started to leak and showed signs of falling apart. My friend also bought a pair of Sorels also meant to do the same things (leakproof , keep your feet warm etc) but again his boots leaked and are falling apart. I expected to have my boots for the at least 2 seasons, I do like Michael Kors, but this is the second item I have bought (bag once fell apart). My point to this is, are we getting good value for our money with these brand names? In these times where economic uncertainty is all around us, I would like to buy things that last. Ironically Michael Kors himself said at his AW/08 show that people want to but things that last. Anyone care to share their views, please do.
