Princess Letizia arrived in Bogota, Colombia on May 26, 2009 to begin a four-day official visit.
Just before boarding the plane that would take to Bogota, the royal couple were given a send-off in Madrid.
Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia were welcomed by Colombian Foreign Minister Jaime Bermudez upon their arrival at Bogota’s Catam military airport. Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, who invited the royal couple, and his wife Lina Moreno hosted a welcome dinner in their honor that evening.
During their visit, the Crown couple will inaugurate the 5th International Congress on Victims of Terrorism in Medellin. They will also attend business meetings, and meet with Colombian government officials and members of the Spanish community.
For the flight to Colombia and the welcome ceremony in Catam, Princess Letizia wore a neutral grey ensemble of trousers and top, with a light scarf, beige jacket and her
Ruched Leather Burberry bag.

Princess Letizia attended a welcome dinner yesterday, May 26, 2009 in Bogota, Colombia.
The dinner was hosted by Columbia’s President Alvaro Uribe and his wife Lina Moreno, at the ‘Palacio de Narino’. For the dinner, Princess Letizia kept her outfit simple - a sleeveless black dress with just a pair of simple earrings, a clutch and a scarf/throw.

Princess Letizia continue to impress as their official visit to Bogota progresses.
The royal couple was welcomed in another ceremony at the Narino presidential palace today, May 27, 2009. Their hosts, Colombian President Alvaro Uribe and his wife Lina Moreno de Uribe posed for these photos with their guests outside the palace. Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia also met Colombia’s Supreme Court Justices.

Princess Letizia looked stunning in her red outfit. I don’t think I’ve seen her in red a lot of times. She paired her skirt and jacket with silver, both under the jacket, and in her shoes and bag.
The royals are in Colombia for a three-day official visit.
