Patrick was only forced to confirm his condition through his publicist when the rumours that "he has 5 weeks to live" broke out. How insensitive of the media! He should have been left in peace and IF and when he felt ready to disclose his condition to the press, only then they should have reported it!

People that are diagnosed usually have about 6-9 months to live. Only 4% reach 5 years. Those are the facts...

So sad...

He's a good guy.

I think the media overract with the news because 3 months after Michael Landon (of Little House in the Prairie) announced he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer he was knocking on heaven's door

this is so sad indeed.

God what a horrible year this has been for Hollywood. He was so talented and still had so much to give, I mean he was only 57!God I loved him in dirty dancing and he was just so genuinely full of life every time I saw pictures of him. Rest in Peace.
