Rachel trounces Mischa

If you watched Friends, you always had a favourite among the cast, and so it is with The OC.

But readers of Sky Showbiz have decided who they prefer between Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson.

Despite being the less famous of the pair, Rachel came out on top of the Sky Showbiz Hot Or Not? poll - with 60%.

The pretty, dark-haired 25-year-old, who got her big break with The OC, is in good company as her on and off screen boyfriend, Adam Brody (who plays Seth), pipped Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan) to the post with 69% of the vote.

As far as the stars who play the impossibly glamorous parents in the series go, Melinda Clarke (Julie) is a tad more popular than Kelly Rowan (Kirsten) with 55%.And hunky dad actor Peter Gallagher (Sandy) out phwoars Tate Donovan (Jimmy) with 74%.

I'm not surprised. Rachel and Adam are much better actors than Ben and Mischa, plus they have the whole chemistry thing.

I think it has something to do with girls relating more to Rachel than to Mischa (on the show). Although I think The O.C is complete garbage, from what I've seen, Rachel has a really spunky personality that translates off screen. Mischa Barton on the other hand is dreadful and looks like paperweight.

I have to agree with this article!!
I think both of them are so bautiful and hot, but what really makes the difference is Rachel´s character! Summer is much more interesting than Marissa! She´s very funny, sweet, the type of mature girl, while Marissa is always crying, in trouble, behaving so badly... I don´t think that the type of "Marissa" girl is charismatic!

Another vote for Rachel. She's purty. Mischa comes across as extremely up herself with her "I starred opposite Julia Roberts when i was ten". You had a 5 second cameo in Notting Hill. That doesn't classify as a starring role honey.

I love Mischa, but on the show her character is kind of predictable. Screwed up Newport Beach spoiled kid..and the way she acts out the character is a little stiff at times. I the OC...one of my absolute faves.

I stopped watching O.C when little wooden girl Marissa survived her Mexican overdose, but I still see commercials, and magazines, and pictures of the two here. Rachel is sooooooooo much more appealing and attractive to me - cute as a button, some real style, something behind her eyes besides smug condescension. There's no contest for me.

surprisingly, the one time each I'd seen Mischa and Rachel being themselves, I got the impression that Mischa is strong and smart and Rachel is boring and empty. That was from Mischa's Punked, and Rachel on some late night talk show.
