Radiohead

!

I know it can be so silly so say this but I swear, you just finished my day in the best possible manner, walrus. many many thanks!. Videotape is just.. epic, it gave me so many deja vus about listening to Kid A for the very first time and being so astonished and excited and puzzled at the same time.. it's just beautiful, beautiful artwork, and Thom seems to be feeling every line when he sings that, GAH! I hope they tour and if they do, I hope I get tickets dammit!.
and you!, that's one of my all time favorites.. I hadnt seen that video before.

.. I passed the link of Videotape to a friend and he's way over the moon right now hahaha.
excuse my ignorance but what kind of piano is that?!?

Hi MulletProof

Isn't Videotape a wondeful song!
Thom said sometime last year on the radiohead website that Videotape was a song he was most proud of.
I believe it is being reworked for the new album! I love the lyrics:

"when im at the pearly gates
thisll be on my videotape
when Mephistopholis is just beneath
and he's reaching up to grab me
this is one for the good days
and i have it all here in red blue green
you are my centre when i spin away
out of control on videotape"

I believe the piano may be a Rhodes. Not sure though.

It sure does look familar though - particularly from the Hail to the Thief tour!

Yeah that "You" acosutic video is great! Thom and Jonny also did a cover of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" that MTV session. I'll try to find it for you! I think it is from 93 or 94.

I'm very happy you enjoyed the videos!
I'll try to find some rare ones for you!

Sounds like you missed out on Radiohead tickets????
That sounds awful. When they came to Melborne sometime ago there were two scheduled shows. I had tickets to the first show and Thom had lost his voice so the fans did most of the singing. It was a gorgeous night - he sat at the piano smiling away. But the second show the next day was cancelled. I felt and still feel so lucky to have seen them live. If I had tickets to the cancelled tickets concert (I know many who did) I would have cried my eyes out. That same year I saw David Bowie in concert - front row center. Best night of my life! Best year of my life!

Till next time!

the lyrics just make me cry, walrus!. :ninja:
I found them in atease last night, they're extremely beautiful..!.

I went to one show of the HTTT tour and he was definitely using that Rhodes you posted, I'm just wondering.. the one in the videotape video looks..bigger and more complicated non?.
and no, you guessed it well, I didnt get tickets for last year's tour  , I have seen them twice before, once in september 03 and then May 04.. but I was really looking forward to last year's tour because of the new material, I still cant even believe I wasn't there  .. it's one of those traumas I'm not ready to face haha, that's why I even decided i should give radiohead some rest for a while, it's so ridiculous.. I am ridiculous  , they had two days scheduled and tickets would come out at 10am, so I figured..since it was more than one date, I wouldnt have to fight over tickets and could patiently sit in front of my computer at 9:50ish and wait for them to come out at ticketmaster.com.. I now know I should camped outside the ticketmaster outlet, tickets got sold out at 10:05ish here!. I phoned right away and they left me hanging on the line for like half an hour, and then picked up just to say they had ran out of tickets.. I dont know what happened really, how fast do I need be.. or who do I need to know to get in. :bunny:

oh just to finish my rant here, thanks for the other two videos!, I hadnt listened to exit music for quite a while!.

Sorry to hear that Mulletproof!

Best of luck for next time you buy Radiohead tour tickets.

It is quite bizarre how quick Radiohead tickets sell-out!

Here is another you tube find!

P.S - I had another look at the piano Thom used for 'videotape' and I'm really unsure about what piano it is now! A mystery!

Thom""""""""

I can't wait!

 :buzz:

I cannnnnot wait!.. I suppose the release will be at the end of the year, non?.

[psst, thanks for all the videos, walrus, i need time to watch 'em all! ]

rare and great performance of 'Kid A' and 'Wolf at the Door' Enjoy!

Sorry Mulletproof I missed your post before!
Hopefully the new album will come out by the years end but I think it's more likely early 2008!

am i insane if i say that Jonny is a cuttie? is he gay?
hope new album will be more like ok computer or pablo honey (these 2 are so different, but amazing)... i didn;t like hail to the thief at all... thom's solo was better than that.
they had an amazing journey from Creep... hope they will get back on track and really prove that they are in top ten for past decade at least.

gay?.
he's married to sharona and has 2 children.. maybe he's gay, you never know.. but it seems like such a random question, IMO.

walrus, I love the AWATD performance, I have it on my youtube favorites..

well, i listen to radiohead, but i never actually payed attention to their personal lifes... i don't care about that as long as they make great music.
and lyrics of Thinkin About You are little confusing...so i just thought someone is gay....
well,better gay,than married:(

OK Computer was released on June 16th 1997!
Exactly Ten Years ago!

What's your favourite OK Computer track?
For me it's probably Lucky!

10 years on Nigel Godrich posted a teaser of some of the new tracks of the forthcoming album on the Radiohead website, which you can hear here:
