Raf Simons S/S 2014 Paris

He has a strange obsession with short shorts...

are the 2 first looks dresses or jumpsuits?

They're just elongated polos... so they resemble short dresses.

His menswear has become the definition of the emperor's new clothes. And I'm sure those kicks will sell like crazy.

THE SHOES !!
I wish I have the legs to wear Raf's shorts. The prints are quite interesting and all the color blocking. NICE.

As a man with a short torso and longer legs, I am all for these tops and short shorts. Theyre so interesting and I want all of the graphic tees

Normally I'd agree, but I see crossover appeal in those wide long shirts (the white one is perfect). Overall this looks cool and fun, though I never like the prints, or shoes... :innocent:

Thank you, Raf, for offering something new to this bleak mens fashion week. My god, the colors and styling and the long tops just somehow works altogether. The prints are perfection. This is easily one of the best collections this season thus far.

I actually hope they are dresses that the models are wearing. Everything in fashion for men has been done. Since the 1930's, mens fashion hasn't truly moved forward..or backwards. It has stayed the same, since. Proportions have changed, such as something deliberately over-sized or incredibly slimming. People tend to forget that merely 10 decades ago....it was not permissible or socially acceptable for women to wear trousers. Trousers were only allowed, to men. I find it strange that too many men fear embracing the concept of change...or something different. When I see this collection..I don't look upon it as either masculine, or feminine...I see it as something new and refreshing for a "man" to wear. It challenges our perceptions of what we see as masculine, or feminine....male or female..... the insistence we all have upon the separation of the sexes.

The collection is purely sublime.

And to quote Karl Lagerfeld several years ago, when asked by a fashion journalist:

"What do you think the future of men's fashion will be like, many years from now??"

His reply

"The future of fashion for men will be.....women's wear."

Just when you think it can't get anymore worse with Raf Simons, here comes another contrived, god ugly collection of his'... *sigh*

Well, I like it a lot better than last season which was a hot mess. There's at least some worthwhile ideas here even if the execution falls short of their ambition.
