Ralph Lauren Collection F/W 08.09 : Magdalena and Valentina

I understand that Valentina is the Fair Princess of Ralph Lauren - but can we take a break from her? I just want something different.

Imo Valentina never really delivers.

Well, she delivers exactly what Ralph wants her to deliver - a beautiful, perfect, blond, old-money, classy, aloof and utterly unachievable ideal of a woman. Ralph is selling a lifestyle rather then clothing, and thrives on consistency of its imagery. I am bored to death with RL's casting, but that's the way the house has always operated - complete devotion to few chosen models.

LMAO, that bolded phrase, I read it as "utterly unattractive" and I was just ready to rip you one, haha.

I think Valentina is great, I like her as a model and I think she's perfect for RL so I don't think they should change her. They should however change their ad department or whoever's in charge. I realize they're selling this lifestyle, etc, but they don't have to be so dull and boring with it all the time.

Hah hah - I would never call Valentina unattractive! I saw her in the NYC subway (metro) a couple of years ago, and everyone was staring at her. She is amazingly beautiful, serene and healthy-looking in person. The photos don't fully capture her beauty.
