It's not a fashion moment with RL i am looking for ......it's the lack of evolution and refinement for the brand with in the brand historic past output.

I like classic & RL he built an amazing solid brand with lasting style code´s, i know what i expect from classic brands like RL ´s case.

But RL used to adapt his codes to the times, sometimes its more this! and less of that !! this feels out of touch & flat with in the realm of americana classic wasp and old money etc

this simply lacks credibility therefore looks like cosplay old money

I think RLs tailoring has degraded over time.

They also used to have 3 RTW lines Purple Label, Black Label and Blue Label (not Polo blue label). The line that survived is my least favorite - RL Purple Label - but it was also the only one with any codes to speakof. The best RTW line they had was RL Blue Label - I wore alot of it during my DH SLP bridge. I remember liking it because it was RL classics in smoother materials and Italian coded tailoring.

An astute eye can tell these clothes are fundamentally not as sophsiticated in construction as other labels. They go with ODLR and CH in their employment of old tailoring techniques the Euro brands have moved on from.

I mean itchy wool pleated pants is literally one of their two codes.

Definitely boring but at least there is some great basics. Still prefer this over the Louis Vuitton and Prada train wrecks.
