Ralph Lauren S/S 2026 New York

even with the crappy soundtrack and set & commercial casting, i rather shop 80% of this than anything from the new Celine By Michael Rider !

I'd skip both of them.
"Strenght and sensuality" ? "ultra-sophisticated" ? yes, probably if you have never left the grounds of a country-club and never drunk something stronger than melatonin-infused chamomille tea.

Personally, I think it's a classic of American fashion. Ralph Lauren is one of those brands where you don't expect innovation, but rather easily wearable elegance. It's a brand I have no complaints about. In some ways, it reminded me of Tonne Goodman's MaxMara, but the concept they started from is certainly the same: the ultra-chic and never vulgar Upper West Side woman. If you're going to do quiet luxury, let Ralph do it.

It’s very department store mannequin collection so I guess it’s very direct to consumer? I love Ralph and hate being mean towards him but ugh it was a non event compared to the last few shows.

the nice thing about this RL collection is that its so stripped of the country club grounds that most of it it's just modern and classy without mental gymnastics ala rider and you will look back at your pictures in 10 and 20 years later still see it as effortless.

side note: lots of country club ladies are drunks and drink at lunch time already and have affairs etc don't be fooled by the facade of the prim and proper society
its human nature.

but i do understand that this is being sold in the RL setting and most customers that shop there won't wear it like this etc

But Ralph will always have a special place in my hart , like Yves , Mr. armani , hedi , gianni etc they all seem to have created a fantasy life style and dressed the people and the spaces as one total vision. (each with its shortcoming from time to time but nonetheless complete)

in a way anti fashion because they were constantly doing things in their own lane and world

what here is boring i like for its slow evolution to modernize a real evolution not manufactured as he has been doing his thing since many many years, its almost what The Row forfully is trying to capture this seemingly boring that should convey a relaxed and effortless rich lifestyle (rich as in time space and mind and means yes but not as in just acquired new money like)

Buck Mason can offer this aesthetic with genuine prices and ease.

It’s good to see a designer stay true to himself nevertheless.

Definitely not his best collection. Surely one of his weakest collection in recent years but it’s Ralph, one of the last standing.
We are glad to witness his vision again.

I always remember that quote from Emmanuelle Alt about Valentino in the Vogue videos from years ago: Valentino is the tradition.

Ralph is one of those tradition. It’s reassuring to have him around. It’s reassuring to have that bubble of fashion.
He didn’t invent American Sportswear but more than anyone else before and after him, he has become the blueprint for that.

I'm really surprised to see Bruce Weber in the front row, even though he has a history with the brand, I thought he was canceled in every possible way.

Even though the collection isn't the best, it's still not offensive, fits the brand well and it still has its good things, it's not a complete tragedy.

On media, almost! But he is still the darling of fashion insiders and I doubt most of the RL customers who attending the show will care or even acknowledge about the scandal. He’s still around, just jobless.

Loved the show, and how it emphasized simplicity. Lolli opened, Anok closed.
I also really loved the seating, on the white sofas with euro pillows. Super clean and easy.

Never met a Ralph Lauren collection I didn't like, and this season is certainly no exception. Flawless from start to finish. So reassuring to always see a solid Ralph Lauren collection during NYFW, and certainly gets me hyped the collections to follow. I love the infusion of that gorgeous shade of red here!

Lacklustre collection, very forgettable compared to the past two Spring collections which were really strong (I especially loved S/S 24, which felt like a real return to form). The oversized hats felt like an attempt to make the collection more interesting but it didn't work.

Top notch cast though, no surprises there.

The red strapless evening dress looks stunning on Anok ❤️ What a great way to end a runway show.
