Thank you for your explanation. I'm loonking for the cats 1000, the skinny wayfarer. Now I'm going to hesitate between polarized lenses and usual ones.

I am in Italy now, and wayfarers are extremely popular here. I think I've seen the classic 2140 style in every size and color. I love that everyone has bought out their bright wayfarer sunglasses for summer too, looks really fresh. I still love the classic black and tortoise, especially in the large size, which men and women seem to be rocking here. Just perfect for everyday.

I wish I'd read this thread before I picked mine, but I think I got a great deal on a pair of New Wayfarers from Sunglasses Hut.

I got this style

they were only $139 Canadian (like $125 US) and I bargained for 15% off because there was a slight scratch on the inside of the frame. I wish they were the bigger classic style but the price was right and at least they're less common.

Has anyone bought Ray-Bans from auctioneers10 on ebay or Sunglass Express on amazon? There's a pair I desperately want but I can't find them where I live and very few places ship to Canada. I dislike the colored ones.
But in general, I think wayfarers are classic. Yet I hope the current trend (****ing celebrities ruin everything!!) goes away soon so I don't have to feel like a tool wearing mine.

If you have the right style then you can pull those of ^, but for me when it comes to Wayfarers, less is more- can't go wrong with the plain blacks or tortoiseshell.

^^Take them to an eyeglass shop. They heat the ends and bend them more behind your ears so they stay on better. It's usually a free service.
