Repetto shoes

No, they aren't tts. I go up a full size in my ballet flats. Maybe half a size would be enough, but I like to be able to stretch my toes a bit :D Actually they are very adjustable thanks to the lace. Since the leather is very soft it is important not to take them too small as the big toe will make a unflattering bulging if it is too tight.

I bought my last pair on www.mytheresa.com

oh...mine are TTS tough...Hmmm...
I guess if you dont know your sizing yet in Repettos, then i dont think you should buy them online...you should try them on which size is the most comfortable for you:)

I go up 1/2 to 1 full size on them, too.

Anthropologie had some styles on sale as of a few days ago.

i just tried on mine just to make sure(I only have 2 pairs),the gold are TTS to me(plain gold),very comfy, but another pair which i rarely use,a pink suede with patent are a bit snug(same size as the gold)...so i guess i should buy at least half a size bigger next time, because obviously in general, based on what most people here, they run small

Thank you all! I will try .5 size larger...I will look into all of your rec's and sites... much love to all!

~Ciao!

I think the sizing depends a bit on what fabric you get. Leather stretches a bit (obviously not to the extent that it's noticeable) and it's probably good enough to go up 1/2 size. For my leather zizis, i forgot to go up a size, but it still fits me even if I wear winter socks. I remember when buying leather ballet slippers (the actual dancing ones), they said it was better to get it a bit smaller than a bit bigger.

Wow...iSpot... and straight to the patent red ones! FABULOUS!

Ciao!

I have the black patent, and the patent is the most narrow of them. I would definitely recommend you to go a full size up if you are buying the patent as it wouldn't stretch. :flower:

i am ok in the usual leather and have a 38.5 in my colette ones. however my patent ones and all the other new ones are 39 and much better!!
i would go up at least 1/2 size

My old black ones got ruined (I will never ever make the mistake again to wear my Repetto flats in a Club) and today I wanted to get new ones but they didn't have them in my size. So, now I have to wait until the end of September. Which, I guess isn't that long but still.
Anyway, I am really wanting some jazz shoes right now, and I've never tried them on, probably should next time, but are Zizi's worth their money or should I just go into a dance speciality store and buy some there, probably a lot cheaper?

^^ As much as I love Repetto, I'd recommend you to get some from a dance speciality store. They are a lot cheaper but the quality is equal.

Yeah, I thought about it myself and I think I will just stay with Repetto flats and buy normal jazz shoes and not Zizi's just because "real" ones are probably a lot cheaper. Thank you!

^But be aware if the "real" ones are leather inside - many of them aren't.

but repettos are official dance shoes that went into producing "proper" shoes.
i did all my dance lessons in repettos when i was a child

i love love this thread....i also used repetto shoes when i was little and danced but now i used them almost everyday
