This is interesting, that's why I don't mind reprinted covers, especially if they are used as another picture from the cover shoot, or also if it's the same photo used with different colours & fonts of the texts.

Carine Roitfeld's Hamish Bowles interview as ran in VOGUE Australia November 1996
w the inclusion of images by Nathaniel Goldberg and Guy Marineau:

While both are the same interview (obvs), I love the unique, polar opposite visual spin each brought to setting the tone and mood of words.
I really enjoyed the VOGUE Oz layout for it's more angular, cut and paste, abstract street fashion magazine vibe. But looking at the second page of the interview one can't necessarily tell the two go together. They kinda ran out of creative juices and didn't bother tying the two page layouts into a cohesive magazine spread.
For this reason I prefer he original US VOGUE feature in which the over all mood and art direction works in harmony. I especially love how the design team utilized the white space from the boxy couch Carine is sitting, to create the text column grid. Totally genius!

Looking at these 90s MC editorial images and doing a compare/contrast of MC Spain and MC France interpretations and treatments of nearly identical photos is still endlessly fascinating for me.
These side by side examples illustrates how the voice, look and feel of each edition is greatly shaped by the picture, fashion and design editors.
My favorite image is the profile shot of Kristen in that rad JPG sweater selected by MC France.
