i´m glad you liked the excerpts from the book, alicia and nel

!!i love the behind the scenes pics you posted nel.thanks so much

!!the night of the iguana is such a great film with actors who are giving some of their best performances not only richard burton but above all also ava garder.one of the best roles in her whole carreer imo.just tremendous the 2 of them, and not to forget kerr and sue lyon.i like the picture in which burton is smoking a cigarette while he´s strangled in this hammock and liz stands next to him.she probably felt great empathy for him and gave him the cigarette to console him in his unfortunate situation

.
i ´ve read that liz taylor and burton were always supervising each other on their sets.whixch sometimes led to amsuing results

..at least if one believes helmut berger´s account.burton was thrown from the set of ash wednesday after several severe fits of jealosy and chronically bad temper and spend the rest of his time in the hotel room with a bottle of jack daniels....berger and liz got along well.when theyx once wanted to go to a new year´s day party burton didn´t accompany them and was left alone once more with a bottle and a book..he hated nightclubs and parties.he later wrote an excuse to berger:"i am an anti-social,who generally loathes parties."there are really hilarious stories about the burtons and berger, but since the book is written in german there´s probably no use in scanning and posting them.but i ´ll post an excerpt from ava garnder´s account of the shooting of the night of the iguana (ava gardner-ava-my stroy)
ava gardner had the greatest sense of humour
and again the lonely welsh warrior-steppenwolf,whom i love the most
