Helmut Berger

Thanks, everyone. 8D
Not easy to find Helmut pics. I love Ludwig and such but why is Conversation Piece always forgotten? Haha. For me it's one of Visconti's best pictures!
Oh, well, I'm biased cause Visconti is my favourite director and DID NOT make any bad movie. xD

I can easily understand you, I love Visconti's works too...

And, IMO, H.Berger is a kind of creation by Visconti too... He has revealed him

I must be blind not to have found this thread earlier!!! I adore Helmut! And of course Visconti too:D For me they are too genius.
How could a human creature be soo beautiful?!!:buzz:

Thank you all for so many great pics of Helmut. I love him although I've only seen him in the two films he did with Visconti: "Ludwig II" is simply a masterpiece and Helmut did a brilliant performance there, and "The Damned" is also an interesting film, Helmut's character is really creepy, and I remember him travestite in some scenes, he did a pretty good performance too. Now, I hope to watch more of his films

Orphee de Musset - Yes, you are right! They are indeed David Bailey photos. And nice one of the Vogue cover. Well done!

I remember an incredible picture of Dominique Sanda and Helmut Berger posing next to each other for the movie The Garden of the Finzi Contini, when they were described as twins: both wearing white, same hair color, height, expression, remoteness, impossible social class and sense of doom. To this day, it is one of the most striking photo I have ever seen. But then, it was the sixities (or early seventies?) and they don't photograph people in the same way anymore, unless it's for an ad.
He was also the star of "Theorem", correct ? An incredible performance, where he is all passive and beautiful, and wrecks havoc around him.

^the beautiful and confusing stranger in "theorem" was terence stamp, jeanne.i normally don´t like him very much but he was really effective as the object of desire in this totally dysfunctional family.

Thanks for the correction, somnambule ! Strange I would have confused one with the other. I'll have to look at Terence Stamp's pictures again to see why I got them mixed up.
