Not easy to find Helmut pics. I love Ludwig and such but why is Conversation Piece always forgotten? Haha. For me it's one of Visconti's best pictures!
Oh, well, I'm biased cause Visconti is my favourite director and DID NOT make any bad movie. xD

Thank you all for so many great pics of Helmut. I love him although I've only seen him in the two films he did with Visconti: "Ludwig II" is simply a masterpiece and Helmut did a brilliant performance there, and "The Damned" is also an interesting film, Helmut's character is really creepy, and I remember him travestite in some scenes, he did a pretty good performance too. Now, I hope to watch more of his films

I remember an incredible picture of Dominique Sanda and Helmut Berger posing next to each other for the movie The Garden of the Finzi Contini, when they were described as twins: both wearing white,same hair color, height, expression, remoteness, impossible social class and sense of doom. To this day, it is one of the most striking photo I have ever seen. But then, it was the sixities (or early seventies?) and they don't photograph people in the same way anymore, unless it's for an ad.
He was also the star of "Theorem", correct ? An incredible performance, where he is all passive and beautiful, and wrecks havoc around him.
