Rick Owens Fall 05 Paris

I fell in love with one of his past seasons but this season isn't doing anything for me at all.

i still wouldn't mind owning a rick owens wrap. cozy, cozy.

Ok I'm officially through with him! No new ideas whatsoever.I have a few gorgeous pieces and I updated with a great draped cardigan this season, but it's all really the same thing and I won't be buying any more.

Now I see NAP.com has the same old flow pants in VELVET...what?

My favourite boutique has also stopped carrying his stuff....there was a lot of it in the sale so I guess Rotterdam wasn't impressed  .

Sad...a definite one-hit wonder.

Seeing the menswear in real-life, I would say its a good and well rounded collection.
Probably the best (menswear) he has done for the past 2 or 3 seasons, maybe ever.
There were some interesting jackets in vintage-treated fabrics.. and the leather pants were quite nice, albeit not my style. Put together with the classicly great knits and shirts.

Was at Barney's yesterday. saw a really nice Rick Owens leather jacket (in black)...tried size S. the fit was perfect....except I find the sleeves way too long. I assume it's part of the design, but just seemed odd to me. sigh.... btw, it was $2450.

Interesting, I did not like it at all. I thought the leather was thick and rough. One of things I like about Rick are the cozy/toned down/luxurious fabrics he uses - but this season I am definitely not impressed.

 perhaps the good fit had something to do with my liking it. i'm on a hunt for a leather jacket, and haven't seen many that i like or fits well. :D

i kinda liked that the leather looked and felt used. it was a little tough, but i would think it will soften a little with use. it beats the cheap feel of the brown DH leather jacket, imho. no? :D

Yea, that's true - but Dior Homme is no longer a paradigm of quality ;) Hunting for leather? Have you ever seen the classic Margiela leather jacket? You might like it.

is that the one that Barney's is carrying now? with the rather large diagonal zippers? i didn't try that on yet.

Yep! He does it season to season. I want one myself, but the zippers on sleeves funk me up - I can't shorten them

at this moment i'm all about rick owens tank tops.

they're sexy, dope, and make every man and woman look hot.

everyone one should own one.
