^ A large part of Rick Owens' philosophies on his designs is that they're actually made to "grow" or "live" with the person wearing the garment. He uses delicate materials deliberately so that they're prone to small holes or signs of wear... so in his eyes, you shouldn't baby the garments but rather embrace their evolution, so to speak. :flower:

agree with inaya!! I wear my leather jacket even out in the rain and it still looks amazing. once they're all tattered and broken in rick's garments look even more beautiful!

didn't you tell me that the SA puts her R.O. leathers in the washing machine? I don't know if I'd go that far but I love her concepts haha :D

she did say that!!! but, the last time I spoke to her I asked her again how I could go about cleaning my jacket and she suggested a specific dry cleaners in my city. so I guess that washing machine suggestion is pretty much thrown about!!

inaya,i completely agree. ann demeulemeester designs on a similar principal as well...how clothing should evolve with the personality who wears them. she and rick are like spiritual twins.

Goodness, I've been dying over this jacket for the past couple of weeks, ever since I saw it on Garance dore. Does anyone know where it can be purchased, or anything even resembling it? Any suggestions?? It's to die for..

dunno if u guys have seen this but this is just too amazing.
edit: please do not quote images

btw.. how pretty is that girl.. I think i've seen other pictures of her as well on some french street style blogs

gruhche - I have seen that jacket (but the longer, full length version) on ebay as well as some other shaggy mohair styles. Keep looking; this jacket or a similar might pop up. GL....

Inaya - completely agree; well said. I just lucked out and found my dream jacket on ebay (pics to come) and the leather is so distressed there are cuts and scratches (some deep) in the leather. But this was RO's intent and makes the leather already have a beaten up look. Further wear just adds to this....
