^I love them. I don't care if they're meant for guys, I'd definitely wear them both.

^ ditto, Navy!!!

it is beautiful how he blurs the barriers of gender with both his lines... they become almost interchangeable

Scott... amazing choices :crush: the second one is close to one of his pieces I'm coveting currently as well...

Scott, I've been on the hunt for a coat for the rest of winter and I've been torn between those exact two!

^i'm sure. they're absolute standouts....bewitching to say the least.

i agree inaya...really not a single thread that divides his lines aesthetically or spiritually...except whosoever wears them ultimately.

I just got this ROL today. I got it a size bigger than what I wanted but it was the only one available and I was eyeing it for ages. I really like it, feels and looks like a blanket wrapped around me. It does give me that pregnancy look, but I don't think you can get away with that because the coat is thick.

My only issue is that the sleeves are thinner as they are cut with a different fabric. I might get them replaced with a thicker fabric similar to the one used for the body.

I also want to alter the shoulder line a bit, or what do you guys think of the shoulder over-hang?

wow!!! that is amazing.. congrats educo. you always have great taste

btw I think it looks great, but I think you're right... it would look even better with the shoulders fitted as the shoulders are usually where all the beauty stems from in his pieces :crush:

about replacing the sleeves... that's personal preference, I know, but I always love his contrasting sleeves personally ^_^

You look like a stunner Educo! I love your pick and wouldn't change a thing about that coat.

educo,

I know that coat well, its one of my favorites and very cozy. agree with inaya (as usual) that taking up the shoulders is no biggie by a good tailor. where the shoulders sit is a big deal since it is the difference between slouchy and sharp and with rick owens since his sleeves are a different fabric its very obvious where they fall.

im sure you are going to get tons of wear from it.

I agree with everybody, that coat looks fabulous on you! I'd have the shoulders altered a tiny little bit and it'll be perfect. Wouldn't change the fabric of the sleeves though.

Taking in the shoulders is the hardest thing you could possibly do. :(

educo: BTW your haircut is gorgeous and really adds to the overall effect.

Where could I find Rick Owens in Hong Kong? And any news if they're on sale? :D

Help. I need some opinions. I have been looking for a super warm winter coat as I am always cold and my boyfriend lives in Boston. What do you all think of this RO coat? The silver is the only thing that has me hesitating other wise I would snap it up in a heart beat. I am pretty adventurous but I am still hesitating...

What do you think?
