Thanks for the nice comments guys! I meant to take a more clear picture, but its been too cold to actually wear it and I have been too lazy to put it on just for fun. :innocent: . Pucci---the bag on the floor is my tried and true YSL Muse briefcase.

As for the weatherproofing, I too have been stuck in some drizzles, and its been fine. For the type of leather, I personally think any treating would really alter the feel (although my jacket is made of super fine glove leather, not something he really works in for women's, so that may not apply).

OH, and I desperately want mine tailored too, it has really stretched and I would love for it to be truly snug with just a tee shirt on...

Ohh... my thoughts exactly...

I think I really do have to look into it.. :shifty: if I could only find someone I'd trust with it! I guess I just been thinking I'd just get a size smaller when a buy a new one... but you know how something expensive doesn't look half as good if it doesn't fit to you to a T. That's my opinion anyway.

the bag looks really cool!

I agree MJ i love your bag also!
Can i ask 1 more question, When you brought your jacket MJ was it fitted? as i am not sure to get one that is quite fitted as i want to wear chunky jumpers under it sometimes as i can image it is not a very warm coat.
Does the leather really give alot as both yourself and Pucci are looking into having them taken in?
Thanks again. :flower:

Well, mine was never really tight, it was always a little loose (although, still the bet fitting leather jacket I have found to date). I wear chunky knits with it often (and am in the pic I posted), and the only place I think it really stretched was the upper arm. When I wear it zipped it is very fitted still around the body.

Haven't seen this posted yet, but it's exciting news:

PARIS, February 24, 2008 – Those who came looking for the light-handed couture of Spring were in for a surprise. The couture workmanship was still there, but as for the light—well, Owens hasn't retreated back to his proverbial crypt, but his models did look like they had swaggered through the apocalypse. An engaging sight it was, too. Their uniform consisted of a mink cap, a glorified cashmere sweat suit of layered tees and long shorts in olive drab or black, and leather or shearling legwarmers that laced at the back of the knee and belled out unzipped above towering wedge boots.

Having established that base, Owens zeroed in on the outerwear that he so loves to embellish. "I lifted so directly from Lee Bontecou that I'm telling everybody," he said backstage, referencing the American sculptor best known for her menacing fabric and steel constructions of the sixties. Indeed, some of the coats had funnels, à la Bontecou, that protruded several inches above the shoulders like wings and circled around the torso to drape from the hips. These might prove challenging even for Owens' most avant-garde devotees, but there were other pieces that will only broaden his appeal: Take the divine, weightless-looking minks that tied dramatically at the neck to drape in soft folds down the torso, or the edgier peplum styles in (Bontecou again) patchworks of cashmere, metallic leather, and faded denim. These will surely find an eager audience at the Paris transplant's first New York outpost, a Tribeca store at Hudson and Dominick that's scheduled to open this summer.

^ i loved his collection. some really great pieces in there. particularly a fur jacket...

thanks for the feedback on the waterproofing. :flower: i'm just nervous, i don't want the colour to change.

Justlooking, as much as I really enjoyed the collection, what I was posting about was the fact that the article mentions a new Rick Owens store that would opening in New York this summer. No more shipping fees and instant gratification for us Eastcoasters. ^_^

this is the one I found the other day at Barneys. Last one, my size!!! it looks sooo awesome IRL. it has the part fabric sleeves and everything. I'm thinking about returning my suede one and getting it. Although I love the suede, I think it may be too fussy and will get so dirty

I actually like this one a lot better. It has more character than the suede. What's the material ? And are they holding it for you?

yep, I exchanged for this one... although I loved the suede, this has much more attitude. It has the same strap inside that you can carry it over your shoulder, but this one is so distressed and fits perfectly ^_^
