Ripped jeans S/S 08

Not too keen on this..
I've seen a few people pull it off..
but it will never resonate with me on a personal level...

I'm sorry but I hate this

I don't even think I would like this in an editorial..

Looks like those jeans were attacked by a Grizzly bear.I like that Christopher's are a bit more subtle, but I prefer a clean straight line on my legs as opposed to a ragged mess.

Again... I think of this more as a late '80s or early '90s style from some pop singers (and maybe some rockers). Frayed bottoms are fine. But I'm just not feeling ripped jeans. These ripped jeans almost remind me of gladiator sandals in the sense that both aren't supposed to be "cute," but I'd rather have cute or stylish than something like these ripped jeans. Most of you know my comments. When I really love something, I express it as best as I can. When I really hate something, you know I let it all out. My dislike of ripped jeans is sort of in the middle, but slightly in the dislike range. I don't know many that can pull off ripped jeans and making them hot, if at all possible. I don't even like these jeans as a casual trend (who said they were formal?).

Which would you rather have: frayed denim or ripped denim?

I think ripped jeans are alright...

BUT ONLY to an extent...I mean they can't be SO ripped up that you can see most of the hair on someone's legs [male or female ha] lol...

I liked ripped jeans in High School but I think the most attractive jeans are just plain and simple. Wear them with something that will stand out and my eyes will be all over you.

I can't help it but even the jeans that have embellishments are quite eye-catching...

Grraugh! Ripped jeans again! I thought they were in fashion briefly in 2002 or so. Isn't it too early to revive this trend again?

Ooops, wrong thread. *edit*
I think ripped jeans are always there. And I think that's alright.

I LOVE my ripped jeans... not sure what my life would be like without them! They are a major factor in my wardrobe, then again im 22 and in college, so I tend to wear things that look like h*ll, but in a good way :P

I'd rather frayed jeans than ripped. The worst pair of ripped jeans I've ever seen was some girl that had a rip along the buttocks, showing off some kind of dark pink bikini bottoms. I don't get ripped jeans outside of rocker or late '80s chic. Want to show legs and knees? Just wear shorts or cropped pants and spare yourself from these ripped jeans. Is this so hard to understand?

[UPDATE] Another alternative to rips would be split-leg jeans. Not sure if anyone still designs split-leg jeans anymore.

I guess I'm one of the few that love ripped Maison Martin Margiela jeans.

Nooooooooooo! :( It's like paper shredder gone horribly wrong!

bibimbap I like them too, so you're not alone. I think this woman rocks the look. But with that much shredding and that high up on the thigh you have to remember to shave your legs and bring lots of confidence with you when you wear them:D

The disturbing trend of the season. From the distance it looks like the person's skin was shredded.

i like them them, but it totally depends on who is wearing them..
