Rochas Pre-Fall 2022 Paris

I know that you hate Vilmorin and his nepotistic background, but I feel that he'll be very good for Rochas, since he pulling the label away from the "jolie madame" trope that Nina Ricci, Patou and MGC Dior have already fulfilled. The work here is not as outlandish as his September show, but it has those same ideas.

I agree! I find his signature very ugly, but it’s a point of view. You can see it here in the contrast and color work. It’s very different than the rest out there.
It just may be a bit to naive and immature maybe? Mostly in how hermetic it feels, I question who this is for.

At least someone from the new generation who knows his cut! The proportions and volumes are perfectly balanced.
There’s a talent and I think Rochas is the perfect house for him to prove himself and develop a signature.

Very promising.

I don’t hate it but there’s a ton of streamlining to do…I’m not in love with any particular look even if the vibe intrigues me.

It’s a bit better than Ricci which remains the beacon of student-level design in the Paris scene.
