why hasn't anyone mentioned how the knits that everyone is drooling over are almost identical to the junya knits for a couple seasons back...?!?!

just with different colours...


and seriously...i think they are all completely unwearable..

well,it's a bit difficult criticise as i think we all have seen a few designers do it like bruno and even susan cianciolo back in her earlier days. it's really become sort of a knitting technique that i see a number of people utilise...so i can't complain much.

anyways, those are amazing pieces but overpriced yes, those cost almost the same as a leather jacket.

i think those rodarte inspired tights are terrible looking

I think there's a time and place for those webby, tattered tights. I honestly think Rodarte looks best when paired with itself, if that makes sense. It's such a specific context.

That said, the new S/S 09 fishnet leggings are quite wearable and if they retail for $300 or less, I'd consider investing in a pair.

^or paired with other more esoteric garb. i could certainly see this with vivienne westwood or comme.

i think alot of people have the wrong idea about them. that because they're featured in vogue or because they've become such hyped prospects they're all gucci-fied slick. they're not. they're really as equally niche as say a boudicca or undercover.

i would agree if they are the actual rodarte tights... but the imitations are etsy are awful

i don't think that those could ever look good..
