Just off a flight from London, where she opened her first store, Roksanda Ilincic had her multitasking hat on. Her newly re-branded Roksanda collection kept pace, full of everything from sporty separates to elegant eveningwear.
She said the season was a celebration of color and made that point with lots of different combinations including colorblocking, prints and fantastical woven treatments. Ilincic embraced sportif with some lightweight jacquard sweatshirts and used bonded fabrics in pop hues like turquoise and bright yellow, turning a simple pantsuit and oversize coat into major statements. But the real wow factor came with a series of cocktail dresses, their fronts done in a panel of woven PVC strings that, while molded, still moved with the body.
