I know I love their articles so much , especially last issues with Julia Restoin Roitfeld , I'm glad their not turning totally commercial putting lindsay or mischa features , I hope find a balance because magaziens that are too alternate example: frankie and oyster put me to sleep big time!

i think that to put lindsay or misha on the cover goes against the very spirit of the magazine- its not so much that its commercial, but more an issue of "highbrow" versus "lowbrow" fashion- celebrities such as those representing "lowbrow" you know?

Russh isn't trying and would never want to be elle or madison.

to me, they take their fashion abit more seriously than that.

I like Russh and all they stand for, but sometimes because of the two issues per month thing I find some of the products and features they have are a little "been there, read that".

That said, they do have some kooky editorials and it doesn't leave me sick to death of seeing celebs in the pages of their mag.

What I noticed in this issue was the readers letter which asked the editorial team to be more responsible when selecting images which may inadvertently promote the tan. Mainly because most of the "inspirational" vintage images Russh uses are from decades ago where society was more pro-tanning.

Interesting point, but it doesn't mean the mag wants you to go to the solarium or something? After all most mags these days tell you to fake it and not bake it anyway.

I agree with what she said about making pale fashionable, as even when magazines encourage the use of fake tans, they are still promoting the same ideal and look of a tan.

i always feel a little embarassed for them when they go on about cory kennedy... like writing a whole article comparing her to kate moss?

also theyre really pushing the hippie chick agenda... it might be working on me.

I wish I could just be one colour all over... i hate it in summer when your arms are darker than your legs because they inadvertently get more sun just from being outside.

I've been thinking about subscribing to Russh, but it's not that much of a saving since I don't buy every issue...

russh should make the 2nd half of the magazine reflect the first half. Its almost like the eds are a whole different magazine

what disappointed me was that they didn't point out how beautiful pale skin can be! they just pointed out the dangers of solarium and sun tanning.. well okay. duh.
