Hi all,
I keep hearing things about the "Russian Revolution" trend that was spawned by some collections a few years ago. I've been searching all the usual runway sites but haven't really found what I'm thinking this term was referring to. If someone could point me in the right direction as to what season/designer this is referring to I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks so much in advance! :flower:

 say what?

i think whoever told you this got it from a friend of a friend of a friend... isn't there a game like that where one person tells a story to another person with a little twist, than that person tells it to somebody else, and so on and so on...

what you might be looking are several f/w 05-06 mens collections that were loosely inspired by early 20th Century Russia, namely Dries van Noten, Costume National, Denis Simachev and Louis Vuitton. you can search this forum for these collections. good luck.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I think what I was thinking of wasn't actually Russian designers but famous mainstream houses who were doing Russian-inspired designs. I'll check out the designers mentioned. Thanks again! :flower:

I think the latest Gaultier collection was inspired by Russia. Try going to jeanpaulgaultier.com.

Good luck.

The Vivienne Westwood womenswear collection last season definately was. 'Propaganda' I think it was called.

Warning! this is a bad joke!

Maybe thay were talking about all the new models from Russia and eastern Europe...vlada, sasha, agneizka...
