i think ruven is extremely talented...
i met him when i was working as an assistant many years ago...
and he was just starting out...largely still unknown...
i always thought he would be HUGE...

it seems like most of his editorial work is done for ELLE...
i don't know what the deal is there...he must have a contract...
i would love to see him shooting for bazaar...or numero...or even italian vogue...
but there must be some political reason that he doesn't...

the matador images are gorgeous...thanks for sharing...

softgrey, that is indeed very strange. it must be a contract-thing because it's absolutely not where he belongs in my opinion. also, i found half of the pictures in the portfolio hana linked very glossy and polished (well, boring) and they were for instyle, i believe.
he is probably making a relatively distinctive line between his personal and his commercial work...
