S/S 2005 Ad Campaigns

a lot of these ads really won't sell me any clothes...the ysl stands out...personally the more tactile the clothing appears the more seductive it seems...a lot of these ads look flat--but then again its selling a lifestyle. I would rather invest in something real...for instance, a good example of what i'd like to see in an ad...

thoughts?? what makes an ad campaign successful?

wowwww so pretty Angela in Stella!!!... my fav model 4ever :flower:

Thanks bun-bun ;)

I don't really like the way those balengiaca are shot. It's seems like we're below the model, esspecially in the second one posted.

Can someone please tell how to find those Stella McCartney ads, I can the runway pics on the page.

The Balenciaga ads are shot from below to make her legs seem longer (though I suppose they're long enough anyway...)

gisele does look good--its another example why she is in such a successful mannequin..but i think the ads look a bit catalog-at least its my first and third impression, but i guess it does reflect a shift in a more commercial direction for the brand in that nicholas once defined his muse as.. "There is a very specific Balenciaga girl. She is quite elegant and skinny with a nervous face, and is never overly sexual," explains van Lamsweerde. "There is a certain romantic spirit in these girls that contrasts with the harshness of the clothes." (excerpt from vogue article) http://www.style.com/vogue/feature/030101/page2.html
the ad is also more sparse and to the point...
