I am in shock after noticing he is still following Gucci on his personal IG LOL
This basic guy really won the lottery, didn't he? He knew he would get laid off anyway since the very beginning, so he just scammed Bellettini and Pinault by getting all his circle hired at Gucci, releasing the most basic collections with minimum effort and maximized cash flow, getting free Gucci stuff and a big check after his contract was terminate by Cantino. Furthermore, he now can add Gucci to his resume, which will make his profile even more appealing...watch him getting a design studio director for a big brand in 1-2 years (especially is PPP gets back on the field Calling his other right hand Gabriele Cusimano). He might be a basic person with no vision or creative control, but damn, he is smart for sure!
...at least he stopped liking every Gucci IG post after he got laid off LOL.
But seriously, at the end of the day, we should admire him for being able to fool Kering biggest and most profitable company and taking full advantage of a weak management.

He is no smart, he is furbo (astute)....and clearly he knew how to take advantage of his situation monetary speaking of course...Smart would have been use his limitations to get better, to listen to get better, but he is not an smart person.

But for me people like him don't deserve anything...is like when people "admire" scammers because they "made it"....it is just how i see things....

of course this type of people, that sadly we can find a lot, just care about themselves for social climbing...and if he did this in this situation i cannot imagine in others a personal level he would be capable for.

Without the gucci label, his collections were still better than many things we see these days. No need to be so harsh. If loro or agnona take him, he would make quite desirable basics for them.

If anyone was given a chance in life to make choices like he was given they would have gone for it as well.

Don't know what Sabato was like in terms of operations to get his $$$$$$ but what you are describing is how most people in corporate fashion operate lol this industry is insane

I don’t know what you have to do to get these jobs but didn’t he have to present his ideas beforehand? I think he showed them something they obviously wanted. Commercial, easy, universal clothes. The plan didn’t work but is that Sabatos fault?
