I use a PC and gave it a try...
What are your opinions on this browser?

Do you encounter errors often?
Does it slow your other programs running in the background?
Apparently it's not Paypal friendly (I'd like to read more opinions on this...)?

The PC equivalent of Safari is still very beta compared to it's Mac counterpart. While I found it quick on my work notebook compared to say a FireFox, Flock, etc. it still needs development till it's at par with the current 3.1 for the Mac. I found it would crash and lock-up, not sure of the current build but the one I tested was a month or so back. If you're looking for an alternative to Explorer on the PC you might want to consider FireFox, Flock or Opera until Safari reaches a stable or final release.

I tried it when it first came out last year on my PC. I didn't like it at all, so I uninstalled it. I didn't like how the fonts looked, it loads a little slow. In general, the browser looked unstable. It was still on beta that time. I am not so sure if it's still on beta right now. I agree with finch, just use Mozilla Firefox (I don't even use Safari on Mac)

I use Safari on my Mac and I like it a lot. However, it doesn't work on Ebay's site at all. If you try to list an item it will not give you any text editing options, and often fails to load the page and will give you errors. To me, the latest edition of it on my MBP, it seems faster than Firefox. I haven't had any problems on the Mac side with it on Paypal, only with Ebay. Firefox is a major pain though for me on Leopard. Stalls constantly.

I don't have any problems with using Paypal on Safari, what do you mean?

^ Ah yes, yes that article. Funny they say that its a problem with Safari! There's so so many issues with Paypal and Ebay security completely independent of the browser, ugh misdirecting the blame I see.

Anyway, my paltry understanding of the 'problem' is that the address bar lights up 'green' or 'red' alerting you to the fact whether the site you are viewing is 'safe' with all its certificates up to date (sometimes you'll get a pop up on IE that says this site's security certificate is invalid, has an error etc.). A lot of times, I ignore it if its a site I really want to go to; once I even couldn't access Stila cosmetics because of it, but I just ignored it.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry. As long as you type in www.paypal.com and not paypal.ru.xceklds (I made that up its not real, don't type that) you'll be ok. I think what they are thinking is that you'll get a spam email in your email account saying you need to log into Paypal, but it actually directs you to Paypal.ru.dkslfjdksla and the toolbar doesn't go red to notify you. I've not had this ever happen to me, if I get an email from my bank or Paypal I always go to the legit site, log in and see if there's any notifications there and then delete any phishing emails I get.

it downloaded itself on my PC since i have i-Tunes on there.. and it froze every time i went to a new site/clicked on a link! i'm sure it works just fine for MAC users, but there are better options for a PC user..

I downloaded it with one of the apple updates, it's OK at first but then it starts playing up and it goes really slow. It probably works well for MACs but not PCs.
