SAG Awards 2010

I'm bitter because Melanie Laurent had the best performance of the year and has been completely over-looked.

Ooooo i like what Sandra Bullock is wearing. I've just logged on, so i've just started looking!

I want to be Anna Paquin. Always stunning, and I wouldn't mind having Stephen Moyer as my arm candyyyy =)

I wish Drew would start using a hair dryer and not just stick her fingers in the electrical outlet.

I'm so happy Sandra won. ^_^

how old is carey mulligan? I know its not her personality to dress like some kind of sex kitten, but she could look just a little bit more youthful imo. that dress belongs on someone 30+

Penelope Cruz-L'wren Scott
Sandra Bullock- Alexander Mcqueen dress. Sergio Rossi shoes.
Drew Barrymore-Monique Lhullier dress. Neil Lane Jewels & Roger Vivier bag

i love sandra bullock's dress. i was one of the few that hated her globes gown, so i am pleasantly surprised. i also love jennifer carpenter's dress. she has the model height to pull something like that off. not to mention her arm candy. of course, i think diane has the best arm candy

I absolutely adored her in that movie, but it's her own damn fault that she's being overlooked. Diane Kruger has been working hard making the rounds for all these awards, getting her face and name out there. Melanie is nowhere to be seen. She showed up for the Globes, but failed to stand out because she came out wearing her bed sheet. With Inglourious Basterds doing so well with the awards, it was her moment to make a statement, become noticeable. Alas, she didn't use it. I know it may not be fair, but it's the truth. Sometimes you have to work the system a bit to get what you want, publicity is at least as important as the performance itself. I guess she doesn't want a career in Hollywood, it's her own choice, but I don't feel bad for her.

ummm...by the time we saw her at the globes, the votes had already been cast. how does what she wore at the globes affect her not being nominated???

sorry, but these awards are supposed to be based on talent, not the ability to publicize yourself nor based on your fashion sense. melanie stood out more in the movie. she deserves to be acknowledged more. period.

Nominations aren't based on how many interviews you do or at how many events you show up to but on a single performance in a movie and how this part is being campaigned by the studio. They put Mélanie up for lead actress which imo was a big mistake because I don't think the screentime of her part justifies that. But they probably wanted to get both of them a nomination and therefor put Diane up for supporting actress instead. Otherwise Diane wouldn't have stood a chance to be nominated, I'm sure of that.

In theory, yes. In reality, we all know it's not true.

And GG wasn't the first event, awards buzz/hype has been building for the past two months or more and Melanie failed to take advantage of all the press events.

I agree, though, it was a huge mistake to try and campaign her in Lead. I don't even understand how you can justify that move. She was incredible, not her performance is DEFINITELY supporting.

Finally pics of Nicole Kidman, I can't believed she skipped the red carpet in this fabulous look!
She is wearing Oscar de la Renta
