Why does Millie BB look like Kacey Musgraves? Isn't she supposed to be like 12?
Terrible outfits. There are some women who look rather lovely, but there isn't one outfit that I like here. Gun to my head, I'd say Sophie's Malibu Barbie realness is kinda ok, Allison Janney looks nice, and Nathalie Emmanuel looks like a real life princess.
The rest of them is prom night at best. HBC is a disaster (but also quite kooky, I guess that's just her thing), Patricia Arquette also looks hideous, that young Kaitlyn person... choices. So many terrible choices!

Sophie Turner wins the night, imo.

I must say, even though 90% of these looks rely so heavily on the more classical and safer side, it was a strong red carpet! Way better than the Globes. Most of the women looked great, and we've sadly reached a point in fashion where that's more aspired than being 'on trend'. Because America has turned celebrity styling into such a million-dollar business that you cannot rely on creative liberty. You cannot rely on stylists to interpret the latest trends for their clients and set a tone or make a statement because they're all after getting a Vogue cover, a fashion week invite, or the ultimate - a paid partnership for their stars. And once that has been achieved it's all sort of downhill because said actress will mostly wear her sponsor's design regardless of whether it looks good on her or not (see the Vuitton women).

Surprised to see that Renee is wearing Margiela because it looks to me like Carolina Herrera! It's that generic, however great looking. I refuse to believe John designed this or that it's a runway piece.
Charlize looks stunning! If ever you're looking for an example of the red carpet take on America's signature sport style, this is it.
Not sure why I'm drawn to Margaret Qualley's outift. Maybe it's the styling or her confidence, but whatever it is, it works.
Jennifer Lopez looks very sensual, which is rare for her. She's usually either hyper sexy or hyper girly. That dress and entire look is a more grown-up and subdued sensuality that makes you guess. I'm guessing Jennifer Aniston tried to go for the same, but it failed terribly.

As for the rest, unimpressive! Especially Scarlett.

And is it safe to assume that Lupita is officially Vuitton woman now? They're always so hard-up for anyone associated with an Oscar. As if it will give them an air of prestige.

Oh, I can see a great improvement in the new selection of outfits. Although basic, I do like a lot more than I did from the first half of the thread.
The most eye-catching was definitely Scarlett Johansson. So stunning and sexy! Probably my top favorite look of the night.
I also agree that there's a certain quality about Margaret Qualley's look! I can't exactly name it, but it works and she looks great. Charlize Theron is a major disappointment.
JLo looks terrible here, but I've seen different angles on Instagram and I can admit she looked gorgeous as ever!
There's something very sexy about Jennifer Aniston, something very 90s about the fitting of the dress and that material (just heard that it's a vintage Galliano) but I'm just so over that hairstyle of hers.
Michelle Williams looks very glam, loves it! Zoë as well. She looked absolutely fantastic and I especially loved her little glove moment, fabulous!
And Renée Zellweger! Wow! She looked incredible, perhaps not very inventive or groundbreaking but she's shining and I love it.

As for men... didn't notice anyone besides Brad.

so basically, Charlize looks best in Givenchy but she's the face of Dior. Love Margaret Qualley's styling. Very chic.
