Millinery, of course, is an important part of the Spring Racing Carnival.
Fashion faces, including David Jones ambassador Samantha Harris, toasted the racing season-- and hats in particular -- with a lunch at Southbank venue Trocadero.
The occasion was the Westfield Doncaster 'My Best Ever Hat' lunch.
My Best Ever Hat is an exhibition at Westfield Doncaster that runs from October 8-21, showcasing hats worn by 18 fashionable Australian women.

Australian model Samantha Harris was selected for the cover of the January/February issue of Gold Coast Magazine. Known throughout Australia as a young model on the rise, Sam has been on the modelling circuit since the tender age of 13. Now in her 20′s, Sam has accomplished much not only as a model (she has a Vogue cover amongst others in her portfolio) but as an ambassador. She is in her second year of a signing with retail giant David Jones (she is their young women ambassador) plus is the ambassador for the upcoming Australian Indigenous Fashion Week scheduled for later this year.
