Here is alink to an interview with Sean Penn with Charlie Rose for 60 Minutes, it was the year when he was nominated for Mystic River and also 21 Grams was out.

BAbyjane, wasn't the interview awsome! Although I always thought that his performance in 21 Grams is so underrated, he was pure genius in that film.

^Most of his interviews are pretty good. He tells it like it is and doesn't hold back. Sean doesn't get recognized enough for his quiter roles likes 21 grams. They like it more when he's over the top. But clearly he can do anything. Even his biggest comedic role (Fast Times At Ridgemont High) gained legendary status. I would have loved to see him do the Three Stooges movie.

^You are completely right he brings his intensity into every role, I love the way Clint Eastwood described it that he is one of the few actors who can completely evolve into a role.
He would have been amazing in the Three Stooges, him and Carey and Benicio what a cast that would have been.

An update:

Sean Penn's 16-year-old son Hopper Jack will NOT face charges in connection with his arrest last week at his high school in the Malibu area.

A source close to the investigation exclusively tells RadarOnline.com that the District Attorney's office has closed their investigation after Hopper proved that the drugs found on him were in fact prescription medication in his name.

Hopper was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies when the medication was discovered on him, but after an investigation, the D.A.'s office Wednesday decided no charges were warranted. Authorities will not say what type of medication was involved.

Wow they made a big deal out of nothing.

^Thanks I'd like to see the video of this before I believe what they say. Normally X17 does have videos to go along with their photos.

I think Sean needs to get back to working. It doesn't seem to spend his time well when he has too much of it.
