Here's some good news:
The Three Stooges are going to grace the big screen once more, but things are going to be slightly different then once thought. Or are they?
Sean Penn had originally signed on to play the part of Larry some time ago in the Farrelly Brothers' film, but then dropped out when his marriage was on the rocks. The Boston Herald is now reporting that Penn is close to signing back on as the wild-haired stooge.
“We got him back,” Bobby Farrelly told the Track. “He always said he wanted to do it after, you know, taking care of his family.”
The Farrelly Brothers hope that the film can get back on track shortly with Penn as Larry and Benicio del Toro still rumored to play the lead stooge, Moe. Jim Carrey was supposedly at one time attached to play Curly, but it appears that spot is once again open as the funny man is no longer in the role.
