I guess I am old fashioned, or something, but I am still not over him and Robin splitting up! I thought they made such a cool and lovely-looking couple. I love Sean and her both as actors too. Thus, I hate to see him dating these super young model types as, to me anyhow, he comes off like the cliche mid-life crisis man. Too. Sad.

Oh well ... His children are absolutely adorable!!

I disagree, to me they always symbolized a struggle. I never picture them together, it always seemed like they were a little "Brad and Angelina" to me. Like they both were some sort of crazy and both of them combined just didn't mix. I don't know, that's just the feeling I got....and also that they both kept filing for divorce and then retracting, then dating others in between didn't help matters.

The only other person I thought Sean would have made it with would have been Madonna. It seemed like back then, he truly loved her. Even if he did have a drinking problem and a temper.

Ewwww - never liked Sean and Madonna. LOL. But then again, I am not a huge Madge fan so that may be why. And while you cite Brad and Angelina as a negative example, I like those two together, just like Sean and Robin. Like a couple of intense actors / celebs together, especially if they seem on same level intellectually, politically, etc.

I think Robin created a great balance and harmony for Sean , like je could get all crazy and intense on film sets, have the political establishment call him a traitor but at least he had a calming force in Robin.
In reference to MAdonna I also think that he really loved her, but I think MAdonna is to self-centered and in love with herself to be in a relationship with anybody.

As to the Brad/Angie relationship I think their union is a brand/corporation not a regular relationship.

To me, Sean and Madonna were both too young at the time of them getting married....I agree she was self centered and he had a problem with alcohol and her being more famous and the struggle from the paparazzi that came with that played a big roles in their destruction. But they also had some really lovely moments too, where they seemed geniunely in love and cared for each other. I.e her being sweet, him being protective.

It was a big testament that Robin and Sean were together all those years. I'll give them that, there had to be some good times in there....but to me it always felt like a struggle kind of like oil and water.

As for the Angie/Brad comparison...I meant that I see them individually as their own type of "crazy" if you will and how when those two personalities come together, it can only lead to combustion. I think Robin and Sean had a good run but I never really saw any love between them. Sorry I'll get back on topic now!

Sean with all his activism and out outspokenness might have ircked her too much. She hated the fame she got just from being John Jr.s wife, but physically I bet she definitely was his type.

Those poor kids are going to grow up with such a warped sense of reality. Rather off topic but what a tragedy that plane crash was. I remember being so intrigued by Carolyn (that wedding! Her dress/style!) and John Jr., particularly when he launched "George" magazine. So sad.

Your Angelina/Brad comments are 100! acurate! I completely agree that when one shouts and tries to convince the rest of the world of their love and happiness something is not right. ANd those poor kids, can you imagine what its like when every step of your development is commented on and under a microscope. When one hears former kid stars speak out how they resent growing up in the spotlight and how it damaged them its going to be so though for the Pitt/Jolie kids to grow up and become adults.

His son was in a really serious skateboarding accident earlier this year (or last year), Sean talked about it a bit in the July Vanity Fair (in a story about all his great work in HAiti), Sean said that Hopper was in the hopital in critical condition, it was quite intense from how he described it (he did not go into too much detail).

There was a mini-scandal when it was reported that Hopper was caught with "prescription drugs" in school (no charges were ever brought and the school never pressed any charges) obviously he had the RXs because of the accident.

I admire Sean so much for being brave enough to bring this up, it is widely known that Wyclef basically took the money from his Yele foundation (supposeldy created to benefit Haiti), which was supposed to go to the poor people of HAiti. He also has a 2 ml tax lien.
