Self Service #45 F/W 2016.17 : Charlotte Rampling, Luna Bijl & Raquel Zimmerman

Oh my, I think I'm into this. Raquel and Luna look stunning - Raquel's cover gives me incredible vibes.

Not sure I like that shot of Charlotte, though, but then again I might be projecting my dislike for her personal opinions on the image which is unfair.

Sick of that ugly Balenciaga coat , but it's a nice image.

Raquel is looking fab, what a presence, great pic.

Charlotte looks like death on her cover. Not sure what they were going for with that color scheme and makeup.

Raquel's cover looks great. Classic Raquel.

Raquel.....
What more can be said about this woman. She is amazing!!!

I hope Raquel on the cover of Self Service can lead to Raquel at VP before 2017!

I want them all! Even Luna Bijl's one, which is the best for me. It has that faint silent screen siren/Musidora vibe which I like.
Raquel's one looks a bit maximalist with those gaudy retainers, but that's what makes it cool. And Charlotte is of course the eternal icon, despite those odious comments she made.

I'm not normally obsessed with this magazine, the last issue I have is with Sauvé & Gainsbourg, but will certainly get this one.

Raquel's cover looks like it could have come from a crazy 1980s Faye Dunaway movie.

Raquel by I&V
Luna by Sims
Charlotte by Ezra Petronio, that's why she looks so awful.

Totally in love with Raquel's and Luna's covers.

Luna by Sims goes right to the front of the line for cover of the year contender. Iconic image.

The Luna cover is fantastic. Raquel's is good, but it's sort of autopilot Zimmerman goodness as opposed to something really epic.

Even with sunglasses on Raquel still slays! I'll take hers and pass on the others.

Luna's cover is probably one of the best this year (so far). Love the ideas, the angle and the color scheme most.

Yes, I'm totally fascinated by Luna Bijl's cover. With the last Vogue Paris cover, she brings the "wow" !

These covers are amazing. As someone else commented, Charlotte looks like death but I'm so happy to see an iconic woman over the age of 50 on a cover and not photoshopped to death. She's allowed to look her age here (Which is why maybe we don't like how she looks, we're not used to unairbrushed, older women on magazine covers, maybe? Or is it just a crappy make up and lighting job?).

Put together, the three images make for an interesting visual social comment.
